Broadmooor Elementary School is one of the successful schools in the Cheyenne Mountain District 12. Founded in 1956 it caters for grades K-6 and has 317 pupils. It sits in the shadows of Cheyenne Mountain in trhe South West part of Colorado Springs and the Broadmoor staff believe that a student's social and emotional well-being is just as important as the adacemic side of their education. There is a strong sense of inclusive community at the school that involves students, parents and staff.

Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy is a tuition-free Colorado Springs Charter School that serves students from across the Pikes Peak Region. The CMCA was named as Best in the Springs 2011 in the Colorado Springs Gazette.
It is the Charter Elementary School that serves grades K-6 that achieved the 10/10 rating and it currently has 746 pupils. The school utilizes Direct Instruction and the Core Knowledge curriculum to achieve student mastery.
